The Kintsugi teacup Zoge·iro captivates with its clean, minimalist form and soft ivory color. Its golden repair lines underscore the simplicity of the design, making it a timeless, unique piece.
The shards were donated by Tee Kontor Kiel.
This Kintsugi teacup is also available in a set with a cha-fu (cloth) by Yurika Saito. The cloth complements the ceramic with its subtle color gradient, highlighting the collaboration between the two workshops. The result is a set that seamlessly blends ceramic and textile, making it suitable for both gifting and personal use.
These linen cha-fu 茶布 textiles were hand-dyed using Kusaki-zome (草木染め), a traditional Japanese natural dyeing method that utilizes plants and everyday materials.
TEA & RUST
Each piece was dyed with rust and reused tea leaves collected by tea sommelier Kwok Ying von Beuningen in Berlin.
Over time, the rust slowly penetrates the fibers and reacts with the tannins in the tea, creating unique colors and patterns that cannot be reproduced.
