Fēier Wáng is a Berlin-based ceramist. She works with stoneware, creating earthy and organic ceramic pieces. All of her works are connected to nature, to simple and beautiful objects such as mountains, water, waves, stones, and flowers.
Her work is strongly influenced by her childhood, which she spent in a mountainous region in China. The curves of the mountain range, the roughness of the unpolished stones, and the waves in the wind inspire her work.
In this collaboration with the artist, cracks created during the glaze firing are repaired using the Kintsugi technique. The shape and placement of the cracks in the pieces are part of the creation process and blend harmoniously into the overall appearance.
