The small vase CHISA·NA·GAKU ちいさ･な･がく from the takara collection has a delicate beauty that is further emphasized by its size (9 cm H).  It was handmade in the late 1990s and has been in private ownership ever since.

The original shards were joined together using the traditional kintsugi method, with urushi Japanese lacquer and glue made from sticky rice. The cracks on the outside were painted over with bengara urushi and then finished with 23.75 carat rose gold.
