Icho gata is the Japanese name for the ginkgo tree.

With these miniature paintings, in which I work with urushi lacquer on various surfaces, I combine the maki-e scattering technique with delicate miniature painting. Each piece has a different surface, which would be broken and reassembled using the kintsugi technique.
